A story about KawaFungo, a Lebanese startup that uses wasted coffee grounds to grow mushrooms. By collecting coffee waste from cafés, they turn what would end up in landfills into a natural resource for cultivating healthy, fresh mushrooms. Their work supports the circular economy, reduces waste, and creates sustainable food solutions. At the same time, they help fight climate change by preventing methane emissions from landfilled coffee waste.
