This story is about “Sada,” a youth initiative in Tripoli that began in 2017 after the clashes between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh.
A group of young people from different backgrounds came together to promote reconciliation and peace, using theater reenactment as a way for people to share their stories and experiences of conflict.
At first, many questioned the value of theater, but it soon became a powerful tool for dialogue, healing, and communication. Through performances, people found a space to release burdens, send messages, and most importantly, acknowledge each other’s stories, fostering understanding even without full agreement.
